RedeSTEAM is an initiative (competition) promoted by Redeia within the framework of "STEAM Alliance for Female Talent. Girls in Science", from the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training. In Spain, only 13% of students in STEAM disciplines are women, and with female talent absent or in the minority in essential productive sectors.

The objective of the competition is to encourage girls aged 14 to 16 to study STEAM disciplines, including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, in connection with arts and humanities. They are challenged to create technological and scientific projects that contribute to a more socially and environmentally sustainable world.
