Outdoor speed painting contest in Ribera de Arriba (Asturias)

Collaboration with local government to promote social well-being. Support for environmental, cultural and sports activities.

Red Eléctrica is committed to the local communities where its facilities are located by collaborating on actions that contribute to improving the well-being of people and their municipalities, and through support for the protection of basic needs, promotion of sport and healthy habits and the preservation of their culture.

For the third year running, Red Eléctrica collaborated in 2018 with Ribera de Arriba Town Council in the outdoor speed painting contest which is held annually in the municipality in Asturias with the theme of granaries and landscapes.

The objective of the event, always held on the last Saturday of October, is to showcase the setting of the municipality to promote culture and education among neighbours. The particular feature is that the painting must be completed in just a few hours: between nine in the morning and one in the afternoon. Subsequently, commemorative calendars, folders of plates and QR codes relating to the contest are published.
