Born on 22 April 1958.

Holder of a degree in Industrial Engineering, specialising in Industrial Organisation, from the Advanced Technical School of Industrial Engineering of Seville. Postgraduate Diploma in Senior Business Management (AD1 Programme), Postgraduate Diploma in Senior Management of Leading Businesses and Institutions (ADEL Programme) and Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Governance, from San Telmo Business School.

• Executive Chair of Empresa Nacional de Residuos Radiactivos, S.A., S.M.E. (ENRESA, 2018–2024).
• Regional Minister for the Economy and Infrastructure of the Regional Government of Extremadura (2015–2018).
• Chair of Extremadura Avante, S.L.U. (2015–2018).
• Director of Corporación Empresarial de Extremadura, S.A. (2015–2018).
• Independent consultant specialising in the energy sector (2015).
• Deputy Managing Director of Arram Consultores, S.L. (2011–2014) and, prior to that, Technical Director (2001–2007).
• Regional Minister for Industry, Energy and the Environment of the Regional Government of Extremadura (2007–2011).
