Social innovation
Redeia was recognised at the Adecco Foundation’s sixth Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Awards due to its work on social innovation
  • The sixth edition of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Awards recognised the work that businesses have done to manage corporate diversity, and to create equity and equality policies and initiatives to promote social and labour inclusion.

Together with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Grünenthal Pharma, Baleària and Abanca Corporación Bancaria S.A, Redeia received an award at the sixth edition of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Awards, presented by the Adecco Foundation and the Excellence in Sustainability Club. Authorities, prize-winning companies and the jury convened in the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid to recognise and raise awareness about the best diversity equity, and inclusion work practices.

There were four award categories: best strategic plan for diversity, equity and inclusion (distinguishing between large companies and SMEs), best initiative for labour inclusion, best practice for social action, and best proposal for cultural transformation.

The jury recognised Redeia in the best practice for social action category due to its #FightInequality programme. Weaving Networks This is a project dedicated to global transformation, collaboration, and the creation of shared values, with a focus on fighting territorial, digital, generational and gender inequality through identifying and implementing innovative initiatives that have a positive and regenerative impact, resulting in transformation processes and providing opportunities through continuous improvement.

To date, it has implemented 36 initiatives in collaboration with 96 different types of companies: social, public, academic and local action groups and companies, with a direct impact on nearly 40,000 people, in more than 500 towns in Spain, and with more than 90,000 potential indirect beneficiaries. The award was collected by Eva Pagán, Redeia Corporate Director of Sustainability and Studies.
