We are a global operator of essential infrastructure
This analysis reinforces Redeia's commitment to transparency, rigorous impact management and its ambition to create positive outcomes for society, nature, local communities and people.
Socioeconomic development in the regions where the company operates has become the main driver of positive impact, underpinned by the essential electricity and connectivity services the group provides and their multiplier effect on economic activity.
According to the results of its fourth Annual Impact Measurement and Management Report published today, Redeia generated the equivalent of €18.62 in value for society for every euro of net profit earned in 2025. The report analyses Redeia's ability to create shared value and measures its contribution to economic, social and environmental progress.
In fact, the document confirms that socioeconomic development in the regions where Redeia operates continues to be the company's main source of value creation. This is driven by the provision of essential services such as electricity and connectivity, as well as by the catalytic effect the company's activities have on the wider economy.
The annual impact assessment provides a thorough and comprehensive evaluation of Redeia's contribution and serves as a decision-making tool to strengthen its long-term sustainable impact. It also reinforces the company's commitment to transparency, innovation and the development of essential infrastructure that improves people's quality of life.
For Eva Pagán, Redeia's Corporate Director of Sustainability and Research, this report demonstrates that sustainability is a genuine driver of transformation. 'Our work not only guarantees essential services, but also helps accelerate the energy transition, strengthen regional cohesion and create opportunities for people. We will continue working to increase this positive impact and respond to the challenges of the future.'
Impact in Spain and Latin America
This positive contribution was also made possible in 2025 by strengthening Redeia's presence in the regions where it operates through its social innovation initiatives: 99 projects across almost 390 municipalities, carried out in collaboration with more than 100 organisations.
This is complemented by the multiplier effect of Redeia's activities on the economy, backed by an investment of more than €1,600 million in Spain, Chile and Peru. In Spain alone, this contributed around €1,100 million to gross domestic product (GDP) and supported employment equivalent to 15,000 jobs. At the same time, the report highlights the significance of the emissions avoided and offset by the group during the past financial year.
Methodology
The 2025 Annual Impact Measurement and Management Report is a tool that strengthens a roadmap based on rigorous and systematic measurement, transparency and shared value creation. It consolidates a model of continuous improvement that incorporates new perspectives while adapting to stakeholders' needs and international best practice. The report draws on internationally recognised methodological frameworks, including those developed by the WBCSD, Capitals Coalition, VBA, IFVI, Harvard Business School and the Social Impact Chair at Comillas Pontifical University.
This holistic approach evaluates 22 material externalities or effects and translates them into monetary values to support decision-making. The analysis conducted thus helps anticipate risks, identify opportunities and guide the company's future actions through a comprehensive understanding of the value it contributes to society as a whole.
