We are a global operator of essential infrastructure
- The NGO evaluates leadership, commitment and transparency in climate action among 22,100 companies worldwide.
The environmental organisation Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) has awarded Redeia its highest rating for its ‘leadership, commitment and transparency in climate action.’ The company thus reaffirms its place on the so-called ‘A List.’
Each year, CDP analyses the performance, transparency, commitment, leadership and best practices of 22,100 companies worldwide in the areas of climate change, deforestation and water security. Of these, only 877 companies globally —around 4% of the total— have achieved an A rating.
Redeia is therefore globally recognised as one of the 18 Spanish companies and 152 European corporations to attain this top rating for applying best practices to reduce risks and improve management in these areas. Specifically, it maintains its position in this ranking, which evaluates how closely investments are aligned with commitments to decarbonising greenhouse gas emissions and to ensuring an economy resilient to the effects of global warming. The A List provides a detailed picture of how companies are progressing toward transparency and action on environmental impacts, helping to inform positive decision-making for the climate and nature.
According to Redeia’s Corporate Director of Sustainability and Research, Eva Pagán, ‘reaffirming the highest rating on the Carbon Disclosure Project A List represents a significant recognition and, at the same time, a responsibility that we at Redeia embrace with unwavering commitment. This rating encourages us to keep moving forward on the pathway of climate action and greenhouse gas emission reductions, which is essential to improving the well-being of the planet and everyone who lives on it.’
